So here I was three years ago, a mother of two amazing little boys that were 1 & 2 at the time... I was incredibly happy, but had let myself go, really go. I started running, pushing them in a jogging stroller. It was ok. But I wanted something more. I was a competitive swimmer my entire childhood. My logic was "if I can swim, kinda run, and I can ride a bike..... I can do a triathlon!" That's how it all started...
I did my first triathlon June 30th, 2013. It was such a fun and amazing day. I did it along side of one of my greatest friends. We enjoyed every minute of it from start to finish. I came home and immediately signed up for another triathlon for the very next weekend.
I have now spent the last three years of my life surrounded by the most amazing group of people I could have ever imagined. I've completely every distance tri from a sprint to a full ironman. I've made some of the greatest friends. I'm lucky enough to be a part of an absolutely incredible team of athletes, that has turned into more of a family. I look forward to each and every training day and race alike, Always knowing there are so many incredible experiences I have yet to live!!! I couldn't imagine my life without this amazing sport being part of it. I love the tri life!
