We are Gretchen and Tiffany from Purefit Yoga. Today we are going to share our top 3 yoga stretches that anyone can incorporate in their daily routine. These stretches are great to incorporate in the morning prior to a workout or when you are winding down for the evening. We focused on sharing postures that target different body parts that tend to become tight based on an active lifestyle and/or being stationary at work. Try them out and let us know what you think! Posture: Standing Forward Fold
*Stretches hips, hamstrings and calves.
*Calms the mind and soothes nerves.
*Relieves tension spine, neck and back.
Tip: bend your elbows and place your hands into your elbow creases. Begin to sway gently side to side to deepen the stretch. Hold for 3-5 cycles of breaths.
Posture: Half Crescent Moon Pose.
*Stretches the quadriceps and gluteus.
* Helps improve balance.
*Relieves anxiety and tension.
Tip: Inhale lengthen up and exhale lunge deeper into your front leg to deepen the stretch. Hold for 3-5 cycles of breaths.
Posture: Cat/Cow Pose.
*Improves posture and balance.
*Strengthens and stretches spine and back.
*Stretches hips,abdomen and back.
Tip: Try 6-8 cycles and/or until your spine is warmed up.
