Being a triathlete, firefighter, and paramedic I am aware that accidents can happen. It’s important that we as athlete’s do all we can to protect ourselves.
Fueling your body properly plays such a large role in your training, whether you are working toward your first 5k or building up endurance to tackle an Ironman. Sometimes, making good choices and eating healthy doesn’t seem to do it and we need a little more help.
I am not ashamed of my depression. I want others to see that you can live with this disease; you can have a healthy life. Exercise is my medication and I can’t skip a dose.
Our feet are what we place a lot of stress and weight on each and every day. We all have certain demands that require us to be on our feet, whether that be work, family, school, or training. If we take care of our feet they will take care of us as athletes.
Using sun protective measures on a daily basis does not have to be a chore and can be easily adopted into a lifestyle. Your skin will thank you years down the road.
